The Famous Places of Albania are as follows;  

Berat

It is located at the river Osum which is in the center of the country. When it was built it was a castle on a hill top. The name of that castle was Klaha. The castle was a district which had many churches and mosques which are worth seeing. The berat is also called the “City of Thousand Windows”. People who love the history should must visit Berat it is also a city of museums.

Albanian River

 It is in the south west of the country where a steep coastline is. This coast line can be compared to the Italian Riveria but is less crowded.

Apollonia

 It is in the middle of the Albania where can find ruins of ancient town named after the God Apollon. Apollinia was biggest and most important in the ancient world. The ruins are still impressing and show the original glory. There are so much libraries, temples, theatres and other buildings can be visited.

The historical place is very impressing. The view from the hills to the country is worth it as well.

Durres

 It is the biggest coastline and the most important harbor city in the country. Cultural events and feastings take place all over the year. An important role in such events is the amphitheater. Gjirokastra

This city is listed in the UNESCO world cultural heritage. The reason for unique architectural style, most of the buildings show. This style is called Balkan architecture and contains small castle-like houses made of stones. This city is also called the “city of stones”.

Kruja

 It is the Albanian town which is situated 20 kilometers northeast of the capital. It is located at the side of the skanderberg-mountains. The most important in the town is the Kruja Castle. Which is the national sanctum for the Albanian people.

Shkodra

This city is in the north of the Albania and it is regarded as the fifth largest city of the country. It is located at the lake of Skutari at the border of Montenegro. It is affected by many battles and conquests from the romans as well as from different aristocratic families. It is the important city by trading center and distinctive culture till today.
